Lieutenant Colonel Paul A. Dragnich is the Chief of Staff of Space Systems Command, International Affairs, at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. In this role, he is responsible for establishing partnerships with Allies, Inter-Agencies, and Industry to strengthen the military space enterprise. Lt. Col. Dragnich leverages space Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases and shapes the use of armaments cooperation to support national security objectives, the development of an allied inclusive space architecture, and space security cooperation initiatives with partner nations. Additionally, he serves as a USAFRICOM Foreign Area Officer. Lt. Col. Dragnich earned his commission as the top graduate from ROTC at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2008 and attended Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJTP) at Sheppard AFB, TX. Lt Col Dragnich completed operational assignments in the C-17A and served as an instructor/evaluator in the C-17A Formal Training Unit. He has numerous deployments with Expeditionary Airlift Squadrons in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, and INHERENT RESOLVE. In his previous role, he served as Deputy Chief, Americas and Africa Division, Regional Affairs Directorate for the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this position, managed relationships with partner nations, provided oversight, and gave guidance for international programs supporting national security objectives across the Western Hemisphere and Africa through politico-military affairs, security assistance, education, training, and cooperative research and development. Lt. Col. Dragnich supervised over 470 FMS cases valued at more than $10 billion. Lt Col Dragnich is a senior pilot with more than 2,200 hours, including over 640 combat hours.
