Jason Mallare is the Vice President and General Manager, Mission Solutions at Umbra. In this role, Jason oversees Umbra's domestic and global product line of space and ground solutions, which put Umbra's high-performance SAR-based ISR technology into the hands of the US and US allies. Jason joined Umbra in 2021 as the Vice President, Government Programs and Strategy, which Jason led successfully for three years, positioning Umbra as a key provider of SAR data services and, in the future, as a contributor to the US' future overhead architecture. Prior to that, Jason was a Program Director at Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD, leading a major space acquisition for a sensitive National Security customer. Prior to that, Jason spent nearly 15 years in various roles ranging from subsystem engineering to on-orbit operations at Orbital-ATK (now Northrop Grumman) in Beltsville, MD. Jason holds a ME and BS in Project Management and Aerospace Engineering, both from the University of Maryland, College Park.
