Kim Kyeong Keun, Director of the Agency for Defense Development in South Korea, currently serves as the head of the 1st Technology Research Institute and 1 System Development Group at the Agency for Defense Development , overseeing research and development across Korea's overall defense space technology. Director Kim Kyung-geun earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, and later completed doctoral coursework in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at KAIST in Daejeon. Since joining Korea's Agency for Defense Development in 1998, he has mainly been responsible for research and development in the missile field, and since 2019, he has been conducting research and development in the defense and space sector. His main areas of interest include the overall space technology including launch vehicles, satellites, and ground systems, as well as related space policies, international cooperation strategies, and the utilization of space information using large language models. Currently, he is deeply interested in space industry innovation measures suited to Korea's environment in light of the international development of the space industry.
