César Carmona works as Principal at Novaspace, the leading consulting firm in the space sector. He is based in Munich, Germany. With 20 years of experience in the satellite industry across several European countries, he began his career as a system engineer on large Earth Observation satellite programmes. He later transitioned to project management roles on secure SATCOM missions at OHB and Airbus Defence and Space. At Airbus, César played a pivotal role as the head of the Aerospace Security department, where he and his team provided secure-by-design expertise and solutions to some of the company's major programmes. Within the Novaspace Technology team, César is the expert for secure mission design, ground segments, and cybersecurity matters. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering (MSc) from the Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain, and an Executive MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria, and the University of Minnesota, USA.
