Philippe Pham leads the Telecommunications and Navigation
Systems programme unit within Space Systems. This
programme unit is responsible for the development of all
Telecommunications products (Eurostar Neo and OneSat) and
Navigations programmes (Galileo and Egnos V3) thus acting
both in the commercial and institutional markets.
Philippe has a broad experience in the Telecommunication
business at Airbus where he held key positions such as Head Of
Satellite Product Developments, leading the development of the
Eurostar 3000 platform, and VP Head of Satellite
Industrialisation, Improvements & Customer services where he
was responsible of developing, maintaining and continuously
improving telecommunication satellite product lines.
Before this, Philippe led the Earth Observation and Science (EOS) programme unit. With
more than 1000 employees spanning 7 sites in 4 European countries, EOS has revenues of
1.1 b€, a solid customer base combining institutional, defence and commercial markets and
an outstanding reputation for the quality of its products.
Philippe has extensive experience in the Space field and has held different leadership and
management positions over the last 25 years. Throughout his career, he has worked on
several Space domains: telecommunications, Earth observation, navigation and science
programmes. His experience on Earth observation programmes covers the whole value
chain: satellites, instruments, ground segments and intelligence services.
Philippe has also held transverse positions such as Head of Data Analytics and Applications
within the Digital Transformation Office for Airbus Defence and Space, leading challenging
analytics projects throughout internal Business lines and Functions. He holds, on top of his
Telecommunications and Navigation responsibilities, the role of SVP Transformation and
Cross-Programmes for Space Systems.
He has worked in France and Germany.
