In September 2023, General Breton was appointed VP Defense and Security Advisor at Thales Alenia Space.
He was previously special advisor and reporter to the Minister of Defense from 2020 to 2023.
In 2018, he was Head of FCAS program (Future Combat Air System), launching the project and initiating the franco-germano-spanish cooperation;
From 2017 to 2018, he was Joint Space Commander running the space military strategy on behalf of the French Ministry of Defense and in charge of strategic alliances with allied countries.
Previously, from 1996 to 2017, he held several positions within the Air Force such as Air Warfare Center. commander, project managers for Rafale, UAVs and in charge of budget & planning. A graduate of Ecole de l’Air, General Breton is a fighter pilot flew on Jaguar and Mirage F-1 and made several operational deployments such as: Gulf War, ex-Yugoslavia, Chad notably.
