Clément Galic graduated from École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) in 2007.
In 2015, Clément Galic and his brothers, Jonathan and Benjamin, realized that maritime stakeholders were sorely lacking visibility in their own waters (Exclusive Economic Zone, continental shelf, territorial waters, etc.). The maritime industry was limited by legacy surveillance systems, and could not gain an overview of maritime traffic. There was an extensive lack of geolocation data and many ships could engage in unlawful activities. This is why they decided to create Unseenlabs.
Thanks to the technology developed by the Galic brothers, Unseenlabs has become the first French private company to launch a satellite into space. Unseenlabs is today a world leader in space-based RF for the detection of vessels at sea.
The space-based RF detection technology developed by Unseenlabs enables the geolocation of all the vessels navigating at sea, at any time of the day or night, anywhere on the globe, in any weather conditions.
Unseenlabs provides accurate data on maritime traffic, and meets the needs of multiple public and private stakeholders like states, maritime insurance companies, shipowners, NGOs, etc.
The solution provided by Unseenlabs allows powerful actions against unlawful activities at sea such as illegal fishing, overfishing, illegal dumping or piracy.
