Michael Chemouny currently holds the position of Vice President, Head of Geospatial Business within Airbus Defence and Space; a role he was appointed to in September 2022.
Michael leads a team of over 500 people, having P&L ownership in the field of commercial satellite imagery, geospatial services and defence analytics.
Michael is passionate by leadership and transformation. He led the “Quest” initiative, an Airbus Group initiative to transform Quality into competitive advantage.
Between August 2018 and September 2022, he led all 18 Airbus Training Services worldwide and was responsible for ensuring Flight & Maintenance Training.
From September 2015 to July 2018, as VP Quality Cross-Program, Michael reported directly to the Heads of Programs & Quality at Airbus Commercial.
Michael joined Airbus in 2000 and held various positions in Supply Chain and Quality domains across Airbus Commercial.
Prior to joining Airbus, Michael worked for Valeo, a French global automotive supplier as Supply Chain Quality Manager.
Michael studied Mechanical Engineering in France and holds an MBA in Aerospace Engineering.
