Cdr senior grade Philippe Camut began his military career in 1994 at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels, graduating as a Navy Officer. Over the years, he has built a distinguished career within the Belgian Armed Forces, combining operational experience in the maritime domain with a variety of enriching staff roles and responsibilities.
His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to innovation, security, and international cooperation. He was appointed Head of the Belgian Space Security Centre, a young entity within the Belgian Air Force. In this pioneering role, he is at the forefront of shaping Belgium’s defense space capability development. His work focuses on ensuring robust and secure access to space-based data, products, and services to support military operations and deployments.
Beyond operational support, his mission also contributes to the broader goal of promoting a safe, secure, and sustainable outer space environment, in line with national and international space security objectives.
